Best in Sweeps, Multiple Best of Breed and Group Placer
Ace finished his championship in grand style going winners dog at the
North Coast BMDC of Ohio supported entry on December 14, 2004.
In 13 entries, he managed three Best of Breeds, Best in Sweeps at the Watchung Bernese Mountain Dog Club Specialty and Reserve in the Regular Specialty Classes at Watchung and then a four and five point major in one show cluster to finish his championship.
Ace was shown briefly as a special before we decided we could not afford to continue paying a handler. During those few months he managed to obtain numerous Best of Breed awards and also managed a group placement. This year at our national specialty, Ace made a cut even though he was out of condition and hadn't been in the show ring for quite some time. He is a beautiful dog with tremendous style and the rush of people to congratulate me after Ace left the ring made me again realize and appreciate what a beautiful dog he is.
